An Ellwood City man jailed on child pornography charges has posted bail.
Ellwood City police arrested Michael Joseph Wright, 26, of 205 Division St. at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Officers said someone using a computer owned by Wright came across several child pornography photographs and contacted police.
After a search warrant was obtained, police seized the computer and other items.
Wright was charged with sexual abuse of children and criminal use of communication facility. He was lodged in the Beaver County jail on $25,000 bond.
Police said a minor child in Wright’s care was placed into protective custody by the Beaver County Children and Youth Services department.
Police said the charges against Wright do not involve any crimes committed against this child.
