Man, juvenile charged in theft

A Mahoningtown man and a juvenile have been charged with taking items from a Union Township storage building.
Michael McKinley Venable, 18, of 701 N. Cedar St. and a juvenile male were arrested at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. They were charged with taking a stainless steel countertop valued at $350, two stainless steel sinks valued at $140 and five eight-foot sections of aluminum downspout valued at $80, from a storage building on Atlantic Avenue.
Venable was arraigned on burglary and theft charges before District Judge Melissa Amodie and committed to the Lawrence County jail on $1,500 bond.
The juvenile was released to his mother and police said a juvenile allegation will be filed with the Lawrence County Juvenile Probation Department.
