A school bus and a minivan collided Monday morning in New Wilmington, but no injuries were reported.

Charges are pending against the driver of the 1997 Dodge Caravan, operated by Tyler A. Peffer, 17, of Volant. New Wilmington police say Peffer was westbound on Landon Avenue, stopped for a stop sign at the intersection of Landon and North Market Street, and then drove directly into the driver’s side of the school bus, operated by Laura Penwell of New Wilmington. The Wilmington Area School District has a contract for the bus with Watson’s Inc. of Hermitage.

Although students were on the bus at the time of the crash, nobody was hurt, according to reports.

Damage to the bus was light and the Dodge Caravan sustained moderate damage, police said.
