New Castle police are looking for a man who allegedly snatched a woman’s purse downtown near the Comcast building.
A 40-year-old woman told police she had been walking on East Street around 8 p.m. Sunday when a man walked up behind her with his face covered, grabbed her purse and knocked her down from behind.
The man then ran uphill into a nearby wooded area toward New Castle High School. Police searched the area but did not find him.
