Tea Party’s efforts seek equal treatment

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

I need to take issue with a recent letter from Douglas Hoshino with regard to putting the Tea Party in prison.

How ridiculous and outrageous. Hoshino embarrasses himself by his very ignorance.

First, the Seditious Conspiracy Act has already been violated by our president for personally and arbitrary changing the “Unaffordable” Care Act by granting waivers for the mandate to unions, large companies and all of his friends.

President Obama is not a dictator nor a king and he cannot institute any change, alter, ignore or delay the execution of a “law of the land.” He must work through Congress to do that.

Therefore he is in violation of the Seditious Conspiracy Act and could be charged by the Justice Department.

The Tea Party wants the citizens of this country to get what other influential groups received, a year delay in the mandate. Is that too much to ask? Are the American people not deserving of equal treatment? Is Obama that stubborn or immature to sit down and compromise and lead for a change?

Perhaps three years ago, if the liberals in Congress had included the other party in drafting the Affordable Care Act, we may not be in the mess we are in now.

Even the Teamsters Union said the law is “bad for the American worker” and the Teamsters were a huge sponsor early on.

But as Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi stated, “We have to pass it to find out what’s in it.”

What’s in it is not good for the economy, the budget, the deficit and the majority of American workers.

Congress over the years has changed, tweaked and even repealed “bad” laws, and this one should be included.
