Vulgar music played at homecoming game

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

I went to the recent New Castle homecoming game on a Friday night and couldn’t believe the sounds and sights I witnessed.

Forty-five minutes before the game, both teams were doing their stretching and their pre-game drills and the music over the stadium was (expletive) this and smoke that and more (expletive) this and that.

I looked at my wife and said, I cant believe they are playing this with all these kids here. All the grandparents and parents for homecoming were present.

I thought this was a huge black eye for New Castle. But I enjoyed the game. Did anyone else hear it?

Beginning tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the NHL playoffs. So, who ya got? And in how many games?

Penguins, in five games or fewer. Too much firepower for the Blue Jackets, especially if Evgeni Malkin is ready to go.
Penguins, in six or seven games. It’s a pretty even matchup on defense, but Pittsburgh will grind it out.
Blue Jackets, in five games or fewer. Sergei Bobrovsky in goal for the Blue Jackets spells trouble for the Pens.
Blue Jackets, in six or seven games. Bobrovsky gives Columbus the edge, but it won’t be easy.
