NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
Back on Sept. 3, 1996, a young woman came to Shenango Presbyterian Church to interview for the position of church secretary, with then-pastor Harold “Bud” Green.
After a very short interview, she was given the job.
Bud has always said this was one of the best things he did as pastor of the church, when he was there.
That lady’s name is Linda Ridge. After 17 years as the secretary, she has not let Bud or anyone else down with all her hard work and dedication to her job.
She has this great ability to multi-task all of the work that is given to her and, by the end of the day, everything is in order. And if it is not, she takes it all home with her and works until it is in order.
I offer my personal appreciation to Linda for all her help that she gives to me and our entire soup team in taking phone orders for our soup, and also for helping me with ordering all of our soup supplies. This is on top of everything else she does at the church.
I wish Linda a happy 17th anniversary. We at the church are all so fortunate in having her as secretary of Shenango Presbyterian. She truly is the best of the rest.
