Student seeks items dealing with state

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

My name is Jason Crawmer and I am in sixth grade. I attend Brethren Heritage School in Modesto, Calif.

We are doing state reports this year in our history class. I have chosen to do my report on your state of Pennsylvania.

For anyone who happens to read this in your local newspaper, I would greatly appreciate receiving any information or items regarding your state.

People could send pictures, tourist attraction information, trivia about your state or anything that would cause me to be more familiar with your state.

These can be sent to Jason Crawmer, in care of Brethren Heritage School, 2549 Dakota Ave., Modesto, Calif., 95358.

I appreciate very much this help with my state report. I will appreciate any help you can give me.

Jason Crawmer

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
