NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
I have started the non-profit corporation Lawrence County Crime Solvers Inc.
We intend to be the extended ears and eyes of our law enforcement establishment.
We are in need of persons to serve on the board of directors and volunteers to run the organization. I want to personally acknowledge the Lawrence County commissioners, state Sen. Elder Vogel, state Rep. Chris Sainato and state Rep. Jaret Gibbons who have aided me and helped to launch this venture.
We had our first organizational meeting Aug. 22. A letter was sent to all county elected officials and all police departments. Those who attended were members of Ellwood City council, Hickory and Neshannock townships and the state police.
The county commissioners deserve recognition for their commitment to this cause. I also received help from Beaver County Crime Solvers, especially Detective DiGorie.
