NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
Once again, on behalf of Shenango Presbyterian and our soup team, which includes Shirley and Jim Furst, Beth Kendall, Cynthia Jones, David and Cheryl Rosenholm, Bob McClintock, Ken Cotton, I express appreciation to all of our great customers who support us month after month.
Speaking of gratitude, I offer mine to Betty Garrett and Nancy Jaeger for their great recipe for our now-famous chili.
These ladies hit a home run with the chili; we just cannot make enough of it, that’s how good it is. Great job.
Also, I want to acknowledge our church secretary, Linda Ridge, for all the help that she gives to me, and our soup team, for helping me with orders for all of our supplies that we need and also for taking the phone orders for soup, which is a full-time job during the soup week.
We are all so fortunate to have Linda at our church. She is the best.
I hope that all of our customers from New Castle, Ellwood City and the Shenango Valley have a great summer, stay safe, stay healthy and most important, stay hungry for our soup.
We will be back the first weekend in October.
