NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
Animals sure can make people happy and add quality of life for us.
A few days ago, my dog broke loose on the coldest night of the year. We can all remember that.
I could not find my dog for 10 hours. I did panic thinking he was frozen to death. But I said a series of prayers too.
I called 911, police, dog warden and of course our humane society and our God.
They all worked with me on that cold frozen day when my heart froze.
I walked up and down my neighborhood calling my dog’s name, crying in between calling out to him. My eyelashes had ice on them because my tears for my beloved canine turned to ice.
Ten hours later I got an angelic call from the humane society. They found my dog. I was so happy.
The humane society said they work with police and the dog warden to get lost or loose animals from the freeing cold to save them.
Yes you read correctly. I said I got an angelic call from the humane society. I am a minister of the Lord and I prayed to God’s angels to find my pet.
God heard my plea. Angels come in many forms, the police force, the dog warden, the humane society of our city.
Prayer works for anything. Angels are dispatched in our city. We are all blessed in spite of issues in our world.
Angels in our police force, humane society, the dog wardens. I am grateful to all for finding my dog and many other pets in January, the coldest night in 2014.
In New Castle we have angels all around.
