NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
It was amusing to me that Thomas Donegan (Jan. 19, People lack knowledge) interpreted the Republicans’ loss to: (1) The Catholic/Christian silence (2) The “slothful irresponsible willed ignorance” of Americans (3) media bias.
Where has he been?
We just came through a very long campaign where record sums of money were spent getting their messages out.
The religious right was extremely vocal. Thousands of people stood in long lines for up to eight hours to vote.
Slothful? Irresponsible?
He writes “insouciant” (carefree, indifferent — I looked it up) Americans should turn to Fox News as a source of “non-ideological” reporting.
Enough said.
