Meals on Wheels gains support of community

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

The board of directors of Meals on Wheels of New Castle, volunteers and those they serve want to acknowledge the residents and businesses of New Castle and the surrounding area, for their generous response to our recent awareness and fundraising campaign.

Meals on Wheels delivers, at a nominal fee, a freshly prepared hot meal as well as a cold lunch five days a week to those who are homebound because of illness or for other reasons.

Meals on Wheels is not government subsidized, therefore contributions are much more appreciated. Jameson Hospital Nutritional Services prepares and Meals on Wheels delivers approximately 600 hot and cold meals a week.

We are proud to be part of a community that cares.
