Editor, The News:
Rep. Jason Altmire voted against health care reform.
He also has voted against the energy policy that tried to free us from foreign oil and stop global warming. He voted against the stimulus package that stopped the recession from getting worse.
In Barack Obama, we finally have a president who is boldly trying to bring our country back from the train wreck of the Bush years.
I voted for Altmire, thinking anyone was a step up from Melissa Hart. I was wrong.
Obama needs a real Democrat in Congress to help him. We Democrats need someone to step up and run against Altmire in the primary.
It is time we have a representative who will work for the type of change we must have. Not someone like Altmire, who looks out for the powerful special interests.
