Editor, The News:
On Nov. 7, I dressed to take part in the annual Veterans Day parade in the downtown.
I mentally prepared myself to see a diminished crowd of spectators. I wished for once, to get a crowd like the Christmas (oops, sorry about that word) parade. I meant Light Up Night.
Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to see more people lined on the street route. Parents and children waved flags, clapped and saluted those walking in the parade.
I wish I would have dropped out of the lead and gone over to the parents.
