LETTER: Speeding drivers run risks

Editor, The News:

Why is there a race to die or be injured?

I am writing this letter in regard to the speeding I have observed along River Road from West Pittsburg to the Ellwood City area. The speed limit is 35, but very few travel at that speed.

What is the hurry? So many times you meet them only at the stop sign at the end of the road.

In a split second, a life could be lost or a person injured. The road is two lanes and very narrow with a lot of curves and turns. It would not take long for an accident to occur. And then there are the deer that are seen along the road.

I travel that road very frequently and have been passed up so many times by persons going over the speed limit. They need to slow down and live.

It want to clarify it is not only teenagers, but also drivers of all ages.

If this makes a difference or saves one life, it would be worth it.
