Editor, The News:
I am the Republican committeeman in Mahoning Township.
After a lot of thought, I certainly didn’t condone the alleged misuse of the Mahoning Township Volunteer Fire Department’s credit card.
It seems that Francis “Poncho” Exposito made a bad decision.
He has repaid the misuse and has paid dearly with the publicity that has hurt his reputation.
None of us is perfect and we have made wrong decisions. If a family member made a bad decision, would we abandon them or support them?
All three of our supervisors have treated me with respect and Exposito has always helped me on any of my concerns.
I believe in forgiveness and would hope Mahoning Township residents will vote to keep Exposito as our supervisor.
