Editor, The News:
“Oh, it’s just for the kids. What harm is there in getting candy?”
I hear this all the time at this time of the year. What is the harm? Let us see.
What do ghosts, ghouls, goblins, devils and Halloween have in common?
Well, let’s be truthful here. They are all demonic spirits created and sent by Satan to make people fearful.
Fear and depression are Satan’s weapons that he uses against people. Yet we still have no problems sending our children out for candy on Halloween, thus celebrating Satan.
Do Christians not realize what they are doing and will be held accountable to God for their actions? Many people turn their heads and look away, thinking if they ignore what Halloween really means, they will not be responsible.
Well, I have news, they will be. Millions of people all over the world are treated with medication for fear, anxiety and depression, yet we pay to have people drive fear into us by going to haunted houses, dressing up as something we are not and saying OK to the Satanic, pagan holiday known as Halloween.
People need to wake up. Especially those who instruct their children in the ways of the Lord.
We have an enemy and he is Satan, very real indeed, and he uses Halloween as a method to destroy lives, especially when it comes to “Trunk or Treat” as used by many area churches still celebrating Halloween, only in disguise.
We all must wake up before it is too late.

There is much to appreciate in what community offers
The other day we were running around, and I thought how great the road system in this county is. You can go anywhere and everywhere all for free. We passed stores that were packed with all the things you need, and at reasonable prices. There are restaurants and theaters all around, and no end of free things you can do.
