Why were there no storm warning sirens?

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

In light of the recent storm and tornado, I listened for the storm warnings to go off.

Once again, I heard the sounds of silence. Somebody please explain to me how that can happen?

I have lived in Neshannock Township for almost five years and have never heard one siren for a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado watch/warning.

I came from a suburb in Cincinnati, where I could drive you and show you where every siren was located in my township. I have not been able to locate one on a school, city or township building yet.

Am I the only citizen of Neshannock or New Castle who is concerned about this? Please tell me I have missed some and what we are doing to get more installed?

It’s been a unique week on the marriage front. Actress Jodie Foster married her longtime girlfriend, while a lesbian trio that wed last year, who bill themselves as a “throuple,” have announced they are expecting. What’s your take on alternative unions?

I’m against it. I believe in one man, one woman.
I’m OK with it. As long as they’re adults, they can marry whoever they want.
A lesbian “throuple?” Really? SMH.
