NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
We watch news commentators, read magazines and newspapers and wonder which way our country is going.
The big picture is the “do nothing” of the people themselves. You see people going to meetings (federal, county, township) and know something is not right but are afraid to say it there.
Then they go out and talk about it. This is why we have politics that’s “hooray for me, the heck with you.”
The easiest thing for a politician to do is say “I agree with you” and do nothing about it. He is in power, so he will do what he wants.
When we point a finger at someone to blame, three fingers are pointing back to us. Maybe it is time to form clutches in our neighborhoods. Young people need to get involved. We do not need a big ado to get things done.
