Privatizing liquor will put us all at big risks

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

The Republicans are business people for the businesses.

The Democrats are business people for the people.

Concerning the above, putting the “booze business” into the hands of private enterprise becomes very disagreeable and a rather self-explanatory failure.

Controlling the private sales of alcohol could become catastrophic in nature. Thugs selling drugs on some street corner, selling alcohol to wash it down with. Bountiful access equals bountiful legal problems.

I’m sure some Democrats agree with some Republicans.

Are they voting against or for the above?

What about the employees? As their employment continues, they earn a decent wage along with benefits — and the liquor sales provide enough profit to cover those wages and enough profit to benefit other tax supported programs.

Keep alcohol sales the way they are — no thugs allowed.
