Letters to News seen as filled with hatred

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

I am really appalled by the continuous bigotry and hate that has been spewing across the letters to the editor, especially since the Supreme Court gay marriage arguments have been in the news.

Even before this was a hot topic, The News has printed some of the most vile hate letters. Some of my favorites have been barely disguised under pseudo-intellectual ranting.

I am amazed that a general newspaper would print such vile garbage. If I didn’t know better, I would think that this newspaper was a toady to the extreme right-wing bigots.

New Castle will never progress with such narrow-minded opinions as those I see expressed in these pages.

Enough is enough. It is 2013; the world is moving on. New Castle can either move with it or drown in its own prejudices.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
