NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
Throughout our great nation, many paid tribute to Veterans Day and those who served and are serving as they provide the freedom we enjoy day in and day out.
They paid tribute by flying the United States flag and attended various patriotic programs.
I am grateful to those who participated in the Veterans Day parade or attended. Our reward was felt as we marched past those who placed their hands over their hearts as the flag passed. We appreciated the children with signs thanking veterans for their service, our fellow comrades who saluted as we passed by and those who offered their thanks for our service.
I urge people to remember in their prayers those who are serving and may be in harm’s way. May they return to their loved ones and may God bless the United States of America.
