NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
In his letter of Jan. 19, Thomas Donegan makes the assertion that the Fox Network is “objective” and “non-ideological.”
He’s kidding, right?
Fox is so slanted to the right that it’s nothing but an echo chamber for the Republican Party. Our lunchroom television at work is locked on Fox. I go home in the afternoon and turn on MSNBC to get the “fair and balanced” opposing viewpoints of what is said by Rupert Murdock’s talking heads.
Dissect the Fox network and see how “non-ideological” they really are. Donald Trump is on “Fox and Friends” almost on a daily basis spewing his venom and “show us your birth certificate” garbage at President Obama.
Fox’s morning crew never misses a chance to take cheap shots at labor unions, especially the teachers, the UAW and public service workers. (All the years I’ve watched I haven’t heard anything positive about labor unions from Fox.)
To say that Fox is “non-ideological” is totally illogical. Their talk/guest schedule is a conga line of Obama/liberal bashers and neocon warmongers.
Can anyone honestly say that Donald Trump, Bill O’Reilly, Shawn Hannity, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, John Bolton (to name a few) aren’t promoting and defending Republican ideology? Come on.
