Government is reason for Second Amendment

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

As a Republican, an American and a man who studied history very diligently, I feel that I must speak up about a letter that I have reason to speak against.

The letter in The News, dated April 27, states as follows:

The reason that the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution, namely second, the right to keep and bear arms, were drafted is because adequate police protection could not be provided for the people is not true.

The reason that the Second Amendment to such Constitution was written was to protect the people from social terrorism by the government.

If such would have taken time to read deeper, he would have noted that suffering from inhuman treatment, coming from said government, was the reason for the Second Amendment.

Now I quote, “If lessons of history are not heard, they will repeat themselves.”

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
