No improvement seen in city school board

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

My wife of 55 years claims that all I do is gripe, so I will start the new year off by griping about my favorite subject, the New Castle school board.

I thought that since the new regime was seated that something, no matter how minuscule, would be accomplished. I was mistaken.

I think that the taxpayers would like to see seven more names published of teachers who live outside the city, but have sent their children to the city school without paying tuition. This has not happened.

The state should be repaid from the approximate $11 million sock.

Good luck getting the money back. It appears that the school board cares only about itself and its friends, and not about the children and taxpayers of this city.

And the clique goes on.
