Leaving messages that aren’t returned

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

I am writing this letter regarding people in office who we vote for and other working people.

Someone please tell me, why do we even vote for people? No one does anything. You leave messages. Everyone has answering machines on and you leave messages for weeks.

But they are getting paychecks for nothing. They don’t do anything.

Now this letter is not for everyone. But most of them don’t return calls. Weeks go by and no one calls you back.

I am tired of everything. I hate anymore to even look at people. Everyone needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

It is a shame because you can’t tell me everyone is busy. If someone leaves a message, people are to return it.

What are they all getting paychecks for? Let’s all get moving.

That’s why I do not vote for anyone.

Beginning tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the NHL playoffs. So, who ya got? And in how many games?

Penguins, in five games or fewer. Too much firepower for the Blue Jackets, especially if Evgeni Malkin is ready to go.
Penguins, in six or seven games. It’s a pretty even matchup on defense, but Pittsburgh will grind it out.
Blue Jackets, in five games or fewer. Sergei Bobrovsky in goal for the Blue Jackets spells trouble for the Pens.
Blue Jackets, in six or seven games. Bobrovsky gives Columbus the edge, but it won’t be easy.
