NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
I wanted to express appreciation to everyone who was involved in making Lawrence County Animal Relief Fund’s fundraising dance at Cascade Park so successful.
Special recognition goes to Jim Lombardo and the Dorals for donating their time. They are a fantastic group.
Our vice president, Marilyn Cook, worked very hard to put this together and deserves a note of gratitude.
Even The News came through on Friday with an old picture of the Dorals with the announcement of the dance.
Of course all of those who went for a great night of dancing to the oldies in support of our organization must be acknowledged as well.
There are many others who were involved. The businesses that let us put up signs and posters, those who made or donated food and other desserts and our volunteers. Quite a few people in the community came together to support our cause and we appreciate them all.
