NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
As expected and lacking citation, Tea Partier Patty Jenkins maliciously diverts unfounded attention to President Obama instead of Clarence Thomas as the true culprit of shredding the Constitution (March 20).
Thomas led the decision in the Citizens United decision allowing corporations to use their unlimited profits to influence elections. Corporations are people when I can divorce one and take half its assets or when Texas executes one. Enron would be a good start.
Ginny Thomas is a Tea Party operative for the Heritage Foundation and FreedomWorks. Ginny rakes in tons of corporate money as CEO while avoiding donor disclosure.
Meanwhile at the Heritage Foundation in 2000, Ginny was recruiting staff for the Bush administration as her husband was hearing the case that would decide the election. Ginny said she “saw no conflict of interest and that she rarely discussed court matters with her husband.”
Ginny and Clarence must sleep in different bedrooms, never dine together, and don’t know each other’s phone numbers.
So, when Jenkins maliciously claims Obama is shredding the Constitution, we should look at the facts behind her smoke-and-mirror facade.
Clarence Thomas should be impeached.
May the memory of Lee Atwater remain eternal.
