NEW CASTLE —
Editor, The News:
When are the members of New Castle City Council, the mayor and the rest of the citizens going to realize that whoever the Act 47 person is, he or she does not have any idea of how to raise revenue other than to tax the citizens out of their homes?
There should be a public outcry to replace this person and to ask the state to send someone who knows how to generate real revenue other than raising taxes.
Shame on the members of the council for going along with this person for so long and not demanding that the state replace him or her.
I think that the salary this person has been receiving should be returned in full. Anyone in the city could have suggested the same unfair way to raise revenue. What a cushy job.
