Ex-Westminster trustee was dedicated to college

NEW CASTLE — Editor, The News:

It is easy to see how Debora Swatsworth Foster became the first female chair of the board of trustees of Westminster College, president Richard H. Dorman told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“The college was her second family, and she was enormously dedicated to its mission.”

Foster, who died on March 11 at age 60, was an alumna of the college, where she met her future husband, William Foster.

A resident of Upper St. Clair, she retired as vice president of corporate communications at the H.J. Heinz Co. in Pittsburgh in 2006.

Summer is a perfect time for a good read. Where's your favorite place to spend off time with your nose in a book?

Relaxing on the couch
On a bench in the park
By the pool
At the closest beach
I don't have time to read
