Editor, The News:
My appreciation goes to James Williams for his letter to the editor on July 20.
The depictions of Islam, even by our president, Barack Obama, have been deceptive. Williams is correct.
We have had a mosque in New Castle for years. I have some Moslem friends and have been invited to dine in their home.
The have been fully assimilated into our culture, adhering to our laws, while enjoying Islam within their personal lives.
They are second- and third-generation Americans who love this country for all the advantages they have enjoyed.
More recent immigrants seem not to reflect the same attitude.
