Campaign provides diversions

We’re on the verge of giving the presidency to John McCain, who owns and lives in seven different million-dollar estates.
Oh that’s right; he didn’t know that and wears $5,000 shoes.
He is going to worry about the average person who will, like little sheep, put him into office?
Have you ever noticed how he never talks about how wealthy he is? This is exactly what we need, eight more years of failed policies and a foreign policy of us against them. When are we ever going to learn?
Here we are, another election four years later and the same issues are before us — abortion, gays, guns and taxes.
These are the same issues that are brought out in every election since I started voting back in the early ’70s. Have you see any changes?
I haven’t, and I don’t think I ever will. That’s how they get our votes.
I personally don’t like either candidate. McCain was a crook (remember the Keatings?) and probably still is. I definitely won’t vote for him, because I don’t want more of the same.
I liked Obama at first, then his turncoat vote on the FISA bill really turned me against him.
So, who do I vote for? Ralph Nader? Ron Paul? Bob Barr? They would all be wasted votes. Let’s face it, the Democrats and Republicans have a lock on the system.
I won’t sit home and not vote, so I guess I’ll have to vote for Obama because we definitely need new thinking in this country.
I guarantee you that whoever gets elected won’t do anything to fix health care, Social Security, high gas prices, high food prices, high heating oil prices, natural gas prices, etc. But they are all on our side. Right?
People should wise up.
