Changes needed in Wayne

New Castle News

Editor, The News:

We, the undersigned, feel the Wayne Township supervisors and the municipality should be dissolved.

Ellwood City borough needs to take half of the township and Wampum borough needs to take the other half.

If the state and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection are mandating changes, the township residents deserve to have qualified people and equipment in the areas of sewage, water and electric, to get the best service possible.

Right now, all the residents have are poor management, poor road maintenance and too much money and time wasted.

We feel the only fair way is to make the changes for the residents, for a better future.

Residents should call or write to state officials to get the process started. The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Governor’s Center for Local Government can be reached at (800) 223-6837.

Sam Kelly

Wayne Township
