My subject is one on my mind and one I tried not to write.

Now it is a must.

This may cause eyebrows to raise, but every morning it is turned on while eating my breakfast. What is it? “Animal humane societies” and their love and protection of neglected, injured, abused animals. The love and caring the abused animals make you teary-eyed, as it should.

Having only experience with one nursing home, it was a constant heartache, seeing what little deep love is permitted. It is more like a “have to get this done as I am so busy doing something.”

If anyone is unable to speak for himself, he waits until someone notices a need. Not so with animal cruelty. The neglected and needing ones are given such deep passionate care with many staffers monitoring the helpless “pets” saved for adoption.

It appears politicians are so concerned with “illegals,” “race,” “uninsured” and not one has the guts to question this sad subject.

Speaking of uninsured, during my entire career I paid for so many policies on an income a tad meager. But without a moment’s hesitation, paid for my own. Sure it was a sacrifice; life usually is.

My hours of trying to encourage my friend of 30-odd years, who was taken care of so well in my home, to rely on prayer and “will” literally did me in. Her incarceration lasted with them a little more than five years, versus 30 at home.

Suffice it to say, watch the animal cruelty TV program and then ask if my “loved one” is taken care of as well as stray animals.

Can the warehoused and incarcerated loved ones survive. Or are they left to die alone with a stranger feeding pain reducers?
