LETTER: Choice produces no benefit

New Castle News

Editor, The News:

In response to the letter by Mary Alice Gaibis, “Keeping abortion a choice,” I disagree.

Does the unborn baby have a choice whether to live or die? Does the mother think what would happen before getting to that point? Will she be coerced into making that choice?

It is a fact that women are coerced by boyfriends, parents, doctors, clinic staff, etc., to abort their babies. No one has a right to abort a baby. No one has the right to kill.

Who really benefits from the choice to kill a tiny baby?

Will she be told the fetus is a human? That it will feel pain? That there will be emotional/physical consequences after?

We know government-funded Planned Parenthood won’t tell her these facts. It’s too busy building clinics targeting college women, African Americans and those in poor neighborhoods.

I agree that we should not judge all pro-life advocates by the actions of an extremist. Pro-life people are against killing, whether of a baby by abortion or of an abortionist by a gun.

I resent Gaibis’ statement, “but the seeds have been planted.” The seeds we plant are the seeds of life. It is President Obama and Congress who promote death by abortion.

See www.lifenews.com/obamaabortionrecord.html. This is pre-inauguration only.
