Christine “Tina” Peluso, 82, of 210 N. Cedar St. died July 2, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Health Center following an automobile accident.
The former Smithfield Street resident was born on Feb. 21, 1926, in Tampa, Fla. She was a daughter of the late Nicholas Sr. and Philomena Genovese Peluso.
She retired as a finisher from Shenango China after 42 years of service.
Miss Peluso enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos and working on puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Mary Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.
She is survived by four brothers, Albert Peluso, Nicholas Peluso Jr. and Fred Peluso, all of New Castle, and Orlando Peluso of Miramar, Fla.; two sisters, Louise Peplowski and Ann Shuler, both of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Miss Peluso was preceded in death by a brother, John Peluso.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Monday for St. Mary Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, for a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. The Rev. Father Victor Molka, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
