Florence Polding, 89, of the Overlook Medical Clinic, New Wilmington, formerly of 100 Cambridge St., died the night of March 22, 2008, in the clinic.
Born June 23, 1918, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Jacobs Shaw.
She worked in the dietary department of the Overlook Medical Clinic for 12 years, retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Polding was a member of First Alliance Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Coryea of Mercer; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lamont B. Polding; a daughter, Esther Weller; three brothers, Jack Hake, Herbert Hake and Oscar Saul; and a sister, Olive Pattsner.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jodie Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
