Dr. William John Cenker

Dr. William John Cenker, 54, of Bath Township, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008, in his home.
He was born in Akron, was an Eagle Scout, a certified public accountant and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bath.
Dr. Cenker was a professor at John Carroll University in Cleveland.
He received his doctorate degree in accounting from Kent State University in 1989.
He was also a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, American Accounting Association and American Institute of CPAs.
He was widely published with numerous publications in accounting and finance, and was well known and greatly respected in his field. He was also a practicing accountant and an active consultant.
Dr. Cenker was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Josephine Paratore Cenker.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, the former Barbara Riggans; children, Joseph William, John William, Jennifer Jean and Jessica Marie Cenker; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sheila Cenker; niece, Mandy Miller, and her husband, Scott; nephew, Michael Ward Cenker; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Malvin Riggans Jr.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3852 Everett Road, Bath. The Rev. Richard Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Mogadore, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron, and 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at the church.
Donations may be made in his name to the John Carroll University Scholarship Fund or to Bethel Lutheran Church.
