High School Wrestling: Four place for Laurel

NEW CASTLE — Ryan Glasser, Harley Peterson, Shane King and Dalton Rosta all finished in the top four for the Spartans at the Slippery Rock Tournament, which was held Friday and Saturday.

King, who competed in the 152-pound weight class, and Rosta (170), both posted 3-1 overall records and grabbed second place.

Glasser (106) and Peterson (145) both finished 3-2 overall and each took fourth place.

Jason Powell (182) finished seventh for Laurel.

“I thought the guys did well,” Spartans coach Kevin Carmichael said. “This week was a very bad week for us because we were pounded with injuries.

“We wrestled well, but we lost some wrestlers.”
