Kali Davies-Anderson: What’s on my Christmas wish list? Here you go!
I know I have been doing a lot of “list” blogs lately. Please excuse this, as my thoughts have been very fragmented in these very busy and hectic times. However, today I offer up another “list.”
Kali Davies-Anderson: Yo, today’s kids’ shows are ‘Gabba Gabba’ goofy!
When I found out that I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, everyone gave me advice on child rearing. I was informed (warned) about the responsibilities, the sleepless nights, the loss of personal freedom and the expenses that come along with raising kids.
Kali Davies-Anderson: My hectic lifestyle leads to cluttered purse — or vice versa
My house is very clean and neat. My children are well-groomed. My closet is semi-organized. My purse is an atrocity.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Thankful for the many blessings in my life
Thanksgiving is finally upon us, and while the turkey driven get-togethers are wonderful, the true meaning of this holiday is graciousness.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Go ahead and indulge — it’s the holidays
Whether we are ready or not, the holidays are quickly approaching and we all know what that means: An array of unusually delicious foods, often cooked by other people, at our complete disposal for nearly two months.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Owning a pair of felines not exactly the cat’s meow
From 1990 to 1999 I begged my parents, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus for a kitten. But I never got one. Not for Christmas, not for my birthday, not when I intentionally pulled out random incisors, not ever.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Fact is, we’re all one bad decision away from trouble
Lisa Madras is a fellow blogger for the New Castle News who writes each Monday morning. Yesterday morning she wrote that someone with a name similar to hers was in the news for doing something illegal and it caused her a lot of anxiety. She was afraid that other people would believe it was her.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Oh, the horror of self-scan checkout lines
I hate to sound like somebody’s great-great-great-grandmother, but it seems like nowadays (now I really do sound like someone’s grandma) the whole world is becoming automated.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Homemade Halloween costumes hold special memories
Halloween is quickly approaching and I have yet to come up with costumes for my kids. Violet is only 2 and not really into the dress-up thing yet so I can essentially make her whatever I want her to be. Last year she was almost a baby Sasquatch (my husband and I were pretty big fans of the “Finding Bigfoot” TV series), but in the end a cute and warm monkey costume won over.
Kali Davies-Anderson: Not exactly a picture-perfect day for us
When I was little (and sometimes even now) my mother took what seemed like millions of pictures of my sisters and I. Shannon wore a green sweatshirt? Take a picture. Lindy picked a flower? Take a picture.
