On the Record: Today’s police items and district judge reports

NEW CASTLE — Police

NEW CASTLE


•Burglary. Police said copper pipe was reported stolen from a vacant house in the 200 block of East Garfield Avenue before noon March 8.

•Hit-and-run. Police said a truck went over a retaining wall at a convenience store in the 1100 block of Butler Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses said the incident occurred while the owner of the truck was inside the store. The owner ran out of the store, rocked the truck back and forth to free it from the wall, then fled east on Butler Avenue, according to witnesses.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Burglary. Money was reported stolen from a home on Sunrise Drive between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

New Castle police charged the following:

•Jessica Hernandez, 30, of Cape Coral, Fla., with simple assault and harassment.

•Lashay Evoughn Smith, 22, of New Castle, intent to possess a controlled substance and driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked.

Ellwood City police charged the following:

•Joshua Michael Figurel, 31, of Wampum, four counts of forgery and two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property.

•Dustin Craig Nicoll, 35, of New Castle, harassment.

Pete's Uptown Beer and Beverage charged the following:

•John Young, of Ellwood City, bad checks.

•Stella Francis, of Ellwood City, bad checks.

•Paul Leddon, 59, of Ellwood City, bad checks.

JENNIFER NICHOLSON

•Lisa M. Jones-Orock, 39, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of marijuana and harassment.

Union Township police charged the following:

•Antyne Lerelly Johnson, 24, of New Castle, arrest prior to requisition.

•Jacob A. Salamon, 21, of New Castle, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and similar misconduct and disorderly house.

•Matthew D. Allen, 24, of New Castle, charged by Shenango Township police with retail theft.

SCOTT A. MCGRATH

Neshannock Township police charged the following people:

•Dustin Lee Morales Micco, 18, of Edinburg, disorderly conduct.

•Andrew D. Herman, 44, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of disregarding traffic lane, no rear lights and signaling improperly.
