On the Record: Today’s births, police items and district judge reports

•Harassment. William W. Reynolds, 46, of 719 Countyline St., is accused of sending more than 300 text messages to a woman and making threats to her. The woman contacted police Tuesday about more text messages. He is charged with harassment by communication.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Arlington Avenue between Nov. 6 and Friday and stole two air conditioning units, a washing machine, a clothes dryer and an antique stove. The landlord told police the tenants had moved out of the house during the past month and other unknown people had been living there at various times without permission. He said they had forced open windows and doors for entry. Police said they found animal feces on the floor and trash scattered throughout the house. A welder and power saw also were stolen from a neighbor’s garage between Nov. 6 and Friday.

•Burglary. An engagement ring, iPad, electronic games and various DVDs were reported stolen from a house in the 500 block of North Cedar Street between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 6.


 •Theft. A wallet containing cash and several bank cards was taken from a Falls Avenue residence before 11:40 p.m. Nov. 4.


•Accident. Police said William Edwin Ritter, 42, of New Castle, traveling on Route 108 in Hickory Township about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, collided with a utility pole. Police said Ritter was cited for driving under the influence.

•Accident. Police said Jonalynn S. Marco, 58, of Pulaski, eastbound on Route 208 in Pulaski Township at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, lost control of her vehicle on the ice-covered overpass over Interstate 376. Officers said the vehicle began to spin, turning sideways and striking a bridge rail with its front end. This caused the vehicle to spin around and strike the bridge rail with its back end. Police said no injuries were reported but Marco was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

•Shots fired. Police were told two men went to a house in the 1500 block of Fox Street, Wayne Township, about 10:45 p.m. Monday and fired several shots into the building.

•Burglary. Copper wiring, a furnace and heat pump, collectively valued at $5,125, were taken from a vacant house on Wilson Road, Slippery Rock Township, between Sept. 1 and Tuesday.

•Accident. Police said Gary L. Foore, 57, of Akron, Ohio, westbound on I-376 in Shenango Township at 2 p.m. Monday, ran off the road and apparently lost control of his car when steering back onto the road. Police said the car rolled over several times before coming to rest in the median. Police said Foore sustained a minor injury and was treated at Horizon Hospital in Farrell. He was cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.

•Theft. Police said six election signs supporting Barbara Bohizic, and valued at $60, were taken from various locations throughout Wayne Township between Nov. 5 and 6.

District judges

•Bradley Eugene Williams, 25, of Edinburg, simple assault and harassment.

•Melissa Lorrain Tracy, 26, of New Castle, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and adulterating or misbranding any controlled substance.

•Carlos M. Harper, 27, of New Castle, simple assault, indecent assault, false imprisonment and harassment.

•Katie Bates, 31, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

•Tyrale Sherrod Sr., 28, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

New Castle’s code enforcement department charged the following:

•Robert Doherty, 47, of New Castle, violation penalties.

•Nicole Doherty, 32, of New Castle, violation penalties.


Municipal code enforcement charged the following:

•Brian E. Tritt, 67, of Sewickley, violation of borough ordinance.

•Chris W. Pierce, of Ellwood City, violation of borough ordinance.

•Catherine Pierce, of Ellwood City, violation of borough ordinance.

Ellwood City police charged the following:

•Paul R. McConahy Jr., 51, of New Castle, bad checks.

•Zachary Allen Cochran, 19, of Beaver Falls, disorderly conduct.

•Jessie R. Terracio, 19, of Ellwood City, disorderly conduct.

•Amanda Lee Gilmore, 20, of Ellwood City, disorderly conduct.


•Joshua Ian David Short, 30, of Sharon, charged by New Wilmington police with indecent assault, harassment and stalking.
