District Judges: Listings for Nov. 9

NEW CASTLE — Melissa A. Amodie

New Castle police charged the following people:

•John Travis Crawford, 18, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

•Andrew Mundekis, 16, of New Castle, retail theft.

•Sherrie Webb, 28, of New Castle, criminal mischief, harassment, simple assault and five counts of conspiracy.

•Nicole Marie Arnold, 26, of New Castle, harassment.

•Carl Penwell, 12, of New Castle, air rifles and bb guns prohibited.

•Barbara D. Thomas, 56, of New Castle, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, identity theft and forgery.

•Christopher Michael Pagley, 28, of New Castle, burglary and theft by unlawful taking.

•Patrick Michael Waldren, 45, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•Demetria Michelle McKnight, 13, of New Castle, retail theft.

Jerry G. Cartwright

•Richard Thomas Hogue, 27, of Enon Valley, charged by state police with simple assault and harassment.

•Justine Renee Krueger, 19, of New Castle, charged by state police with two counts of driving under the influence, and one count each of purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor, failure to stop at stop sign, careless driving, minor prohibited operating with alcohol and reckless driving.

Ellwood City police charged the following people:

•Leon Platt, 25, of Ambridge, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and similar misconduct and disorderly conduct.

•Tie M. Miller, 18, of Ellwood City, purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

•David Joseph Carter, 33, of Wampum, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and similar misconduct and criminal mischief.

•Dylan M. Olinger, 19, of Volant, purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

District Judges
  • Man sentenced after hotline calls lead to drug arrest

    A former Youngstown man, arrested after North Hill neighbors called the District Attorney’s Drug Hotline, has been sentenced. Rodney Bernard Madison, 37, formerly of Thornton Avenue, Youngstown, was sentenced to two to five years in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 732 days served, followed by two years probation.

  • Ellwood City club receives citation

    An Ellwood City club has been cited for gambling activities. The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has cited the Ellwood City Saxon Club at 901 Millview St.

  • Barletto.jpg Suspect in officer’s death jailed in county

    Kylee Gwen Barletto was composed walking into court Monday until a television reporter pelted her with questions. Escorted by two state troopers, she was asked, “What do you have to say to the police officer’s family?” “I’m sorry,” she uttered as she was ushered into the court lobby. Then she burst into tears.

  • brown.jpg Prosecutors granted stay in Jordan Brown decision

    A hearing on the status of a boy accused in a 2009 fatal shooting has been canceled. The hearing on 15-year-old Jordan Brown’s detention had been planned for Lawrence County Court today, but was canceled after prosecutors requested, and received, a stay in the proceedings.

  • gavel.jpg Suspect in officer’s death is arraigned

    Kylee Barletto was arraigned this morning by District Judge Jerry Cartwright. She is being lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $250,000 bond. Barletto, 25, is charged with homicide by vehicle and 14 other counts in the May 2 death of Shenango Township police officer William J. McCarthy IV.

Geez! I didn’t realize they were THAT old! That’s, like, my grandpa’s age.
Not sure. But I do enjoy a good “Golden Girls” rerun in syndication. Now THAT’S entertainment!
