On the Record: Today’s births and district judge reports

•Theft. A blue and white Suzuki Sport quad was reported stolen from the 800 block of Frank Avenue between 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Police said a metal fence was cut.

•Burglary. Someone broke into an apartment in McGrath Manor at 814 W. Washington St. around 11 p.m. Saturday and stole a television.

•Burglary. Copper pipes were reported stolen from the basement of a house in the 300 block of East Hillcrest Avenue between Feb. 1 and Saturday.

•Burglary. Copper pipes were reported stolen from a house in the 700 block of Wilmington Avenue between   Jan. 27 and  Jan. 31.

District judges


New Castle police charged the following:

•Alvin Larica Perkins Jr., 20, of New Castle, terroristic threats.

•Kevin Demitrius Taylor, 21, of New Castle, robbery, terroristic threats, theft, receiving stolen property, firearms not to be carried without a license, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

•Eric Steven Pennachio, 43, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

•Matthew D. Dipner, 29, of New Castle, driving under the influence, driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked, operating vehicle without required insurance, careless driving and improper tires.

•Scott Anthony Kosior, 46, of New Castle, five counts each of aggravated assault by prisoner and harassment.

•Richard Kohlmetz, 46, of New Castle, public drunkenness.

•David Gulish, 32, of Ellwood City, harassment.


•Mark O. Kemp, 55, of New Castle, charged by state police with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of driving while blood alcohol level is .02 or greater with license suspended and failure to use safety belt.

Ellwood City police charged the following:

•Charles Johnston, 25, of Ellwood City, theft.

•Anthony M. Frelin, 31, of Ellwood City, receiving stolen property.


•Kendra Johnson, 22, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment.


•Jeffrey Lee Marshall, 38, of Pulaski, charged by Pulaski Township police with disorderly conduct.

The Wilmington school district charged the following:

•Danielle R. Welsh, 39, of Slippery Rock, Pa., violation of compulsory attendance required.

•Amanda S. Trodden, 38, of New Wilmington, violation of compulsory attendance required.

•Heather Osler, of Pulaski, violation of compulsory attendance required.
