New Castle police charged the following people:

•William Carter Knight, 27, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

•Alisha Ann Klingensmith, 20, of New Castle, disorderly house.

•Chris Wilson, 19, of New Castle, disorderly house.

Jerry G. Cartwright

•William A. Coburn Jr., 47, of Ellwood City, charged by Ellwood City police with public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

Jennifer Nicholson

•Charlena L. West, 38, of New Castle, charged by Union Township police with unauthorized use of a motor or other vehicle, driving under the influence and driving with license suspended.

David B. Rishel

•Roy Gene Zook, 33, of New Castle, charged by Shenango Township police with possession of prohibited firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, intent to possess a controlled substance, fleeing or attempting to elude officer, driving without a license and failure to stop at stop sign.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
