•Micah Daniel Peffer, 21, of Wampum, charged by Wayne Township police with two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment.
•David M. Plohr, 43, of New Castle, charged by state police with five counts of corruption of minors, four counts of statutory sexual assault, three counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault on a person less than 16, two counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 and selling or furnishing liquor to a minor and one count of displaying explicit sexual material to a minor.

•Ghianni A. Lane, 20, of New Castle, charged by Neshannock Township police with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor, driving while operator's license suspended or revoked and exceeding the speed limit.

•Valerie Rochelle Roberts, 53, New Castle — One to two years in a state correctional institution to be served concurrently with any other sentence being served, costs of prosecution, $197.12 restitution to Walmart. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.
•Valerie Rochelle Roberts, 53, New Castle — One to two years in a state correctional institution to be served concurrently with any other sentence being served, costs of prosecution, $270.52 restitution to Walmart. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.
•Valerie Rochelle Roberts, 53, New Castle — One to two years in a state correctional institution, costs of prosecution, $15.98 restitution to Shop ‘N Save. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.
•Valerie Rochelle Roberts, 53, New Castle — Her parole is revoked and she is re-sentenced on a guilty plea of retail theft to one to two years in a state correctional institution with credit for 33 days served, to run concurrently with any other sentence being served.
•Donald Ray Frelin II, 24, New Castle — Fifty-five days to six months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 55 days served, costs of prosecution. He pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Donald Ray Frelin II, 24, New Castle — Twenty-one days to two years in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 21 days served, costs of prosecution and $145.96 restitution to Uni-Mart. He pleaded guilty to theft.
•Robert Shawn Carder, 25, Waterford, Mich. — A $200 fine and costs of prosecution. He pleaded guilty to loitering and prowling at night.
•Justin Steven Lewis, 33, Pulaski — Six to 12 months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 29 days served, costs of prosecution and $1 restitution to the New Castle Area School District. He pleaded guilty to burglary.
•John Junior Fuqua II, 32, New Castle — Six to 23 1/2 months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for one day served. When paroled, he is granted work release. Following the maximum period of incarceration he will serve two years probation. Sentence also includes costs of prosecution in cash or community service, Drug and Alcohol referral, provide a DNA sample and forfeit $64 to the Drug Task Force. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

•Krista L. Riccio, 27, New Castle — Six months in the intermediate punishment program with the first 30 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring. She is granted work release and her driver’s license is suspended for 12 months. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.
•Justin David Matuz, 26, New Castle — Six months in the intermediate punishment program with the first 30 days on house arrest, $750 fine, costs of prosecution. He is granted work release and his driver’s license is suspended for 12 months. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.
•Alison Ann Brown, 30, New Castle — Nine to 18 days in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 18 days served. She pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
John Hodge
•Aaron Andrew Duffy, 32, Edinburg — Resentenced to state intermediate punishment program for 24 months to be served concurrently with any sentence now being served, restitution to Kmart, supervision fees as required by the state board of probation and parole and costs of prosecution. He pleaded guilty to retail theft.

An Ellwood City club has been cited for gambling activities. The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has cited the Ellwood City Saxon Club at 901 Millview St.

Suspect in officer’s death jailed in county
Kylee Gwen Barletto was composed walking into court Monday until a television reporter pelted her with questions. Escorted by two state troopers, she was asked, “What do you have to say to the police officer’s family?” “I’m sorry,” she uttered as she was ushered into the court lobby. Then she burst into tears.

Prosecutors granted stay in Jordan Brown decision
A hearing on the status of a boy accused in a 2009 fatal shooting has been canceled. The hearing on 15-year-old Jordan Brown’s detention had been planned for Lawrence County Court today, but was canceled after prosecutors requested, and received, a stay in the proceedings.

Suspect in officer’s death is arraigned
Kylee Barletto was arraigned this morning by District Judge Jerry Cartwright. She is being lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $250,000 bond. Barletto, 25, is charged with homicide by vehicle and 14 other counts in the May 2 death of Shenango Township police officer William J. McCarthy IV.
