On the Record: A listing of today’s police and district judge reports

NEW CASTLE — Police

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP


•Accident. Police said Joyce M. Weisz, 16, of Fombell was southbound on Ellwood Road near Moyer Road when she struck a stopped vehicle operated by Courteney J. Metts, 16, of 827 Allegheny Ave. Officers said Metts’ vehicle was stopped because it had been involved in a prior accident. There were no injuries reported in that crash, which occurred at 3:20 p.m. April 4. Weisz was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

•Accident. Officers reported George K. Staley, 61, of Avon, N.Y., was southbound on Route 388 near Frew Mill Road about 10:45 a.m. Monday when he struck a deer. There were no injuries reported.

•Assault. Chasity Isabella, 29, of 1436 Chewton-West Pittsburg Road, Wampum was charged with assault after she allegedly struck a woman in the head Monday, causing a laceration.

PULASKI TOWNSHIP

•Arrest. Police said they stopped Scott Haley after he appeared to be looking in windows and throwing things at windows at homes along Route 208 on Saturday morning. When asked for identification, officers said, Haley provided four different names. He was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement. Afterward, it was learned he was wanted on warrants for robbery, forgery, theft and other charges by New Castle police. Haley was placed in the Lawrence County jail.

•Thomas Lucarelli, 18, of Beaver Falls, charged by the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center with use of tobacco in school.

•Jennifer Lee Altman, 30, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with three counts each of failure to have dog or cat vaccinated and failure to apply for dog license and two counts of dogs at large.

•Charles Douglas Powell, 27, of Mayport, Pa., charged by state police with theft by deception and bad checks.

Shenango Township police charged the following people:

•Ronald Joseph Martin, 29, of Wampum, six counts of intent to possess a controlled substance and one count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Chasity Lynn Isabella, 29, of Wampum, simple assault and harassment.

•Kathy Lynn Book, 43, of Ellwood City, retail theft.

•Carl Robert Forkey Jr., 57, of New Castle, harassment.

•Cheyenne Sioux Egger, 18, of Adamsville, Pa., purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

•Jason Andrew Zaperach, 38, of West Leesburg, Pa., simple assault, harassment, possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving.

•Kay Lee Ray Lavender, 20, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

Hickory Township police charged the following people:

•Travis James Gennaro, 18, of New Castle, two counts of conspiracy/criminal mischief.

•Stephen P. Hohmann, 18, of Ellwood City, two counts each of criminal mischief and conspiracy.

•Cody A. Blair, 19, of New Castle, two counts of conspiracy/criminal mischief.

State police charged the following people:

•Kevin R. Eggerton, 52, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, operating vehicle without required financial responsibility, careless driving and operating vehicle without valid inspection.

•Gary Sweesy Jr., 39, of Harrisville, Pa., two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of intent to possess a controlled substance, driving with blood alcohol level .02 or greater with license suspended, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving.

The Shenango school district charged the following people:

•Robert and Penny Allison of New Castle, violation of compulsory attendance.

•Peggy Smith of New Castle, compulsory school attendance violation.

•Christopher A. Brown, 32, of Youngstown, Ohio, charged by Ellwood City police with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communications facility and intent to possess a controlled substance.

State police charged the following people:

•David Coates, 22, of Hillsville, receiving stolen property.

•Justin Ryan Sager, 22, of New Galilee, receiving stolen property.
