STATE


•Accident. About 6 a.m. Wednesday on Route 422, Union Township. Police said Tyler L. Murphy, 19, of New Castle was westbound and went off the left berm as he was negotiating a curve. He attempted to swerve to the right, lost control and struck the guide rail. Police charged him with careless driving.

•Accident. At 4:40 p.m. March 26 on Route 956, Wilmington Township. Police said James F. Cyphert, 81, of New Wilmington was westbound and went off the right side of the road, striking a fence post next to a tree. The vehicle struck the tree with its right front and overturned, coming to rest on its rood in the center of the road. Police said a passenger suffered a minor injury. Police charged the driver with a lane violation.

•Criminal mischief. Damage to a trailer on Paden Road, New Beaver, between 7 and 11:50 p.m. Tuesday.

•Criminal mischief. Damage to a truck on Vine Street, Enon Valley, between March 29 and Monday.

•Criminal mischief. Damage to the siding of a residence by shooting green paint balls on Trade Wind Drive, North Beaver Township, between March 29 and Monday.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Accident. About 1:55 p.m. Monday on Route 18. Police said Christina Dawn Baxter, 36, of Mitchell Road was stopped in a line of traffic facing south when a vehicle driven by Aida Luz Bonano, 68, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of Baxter’s.

•Adam Todd Moroz, 28, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

•Michael P. Quear of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

Ellwood City police charged the following people:

•Rick B. Lumley, 43, of Ellwood City, two counts of possession of red phosphorus with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, intent to possess a controlled substance, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of conspiracy.

•Timothy B. Locke Jr., 32, of New Castle, two counts of possession of red phosphorus with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, intent to possess a controlled substance, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of conspiracy.

•Travis Paul Hunter, 18, of Wampum, harassment.
