To Teena M. Heckathorne and Bradley W. Hall Jr. of New Castle, a son on Sept. 9, 2013.
•Burglary theft. A Wii game set and games and assorted jewelry were reported stolen from a home on Firehall Road in Slippery RockTownship between Aug. 30 and 31.
•Accident. Police said John J. Kish, 31, of Mercer was stopped at a stop sign on Branchton Road around 1:38 p.m. Friday in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County. William T. Kosior, 53, of Wampum was driving east on Route 108. Kish began to turn left before Kosior’s vehicle could pass, and Kosior’s car struck Kish’s car. No injuries were reported.

•John McCracken, of New Castle, charged by New Castle's code enforcement department with failure to cut weeds or grass.
New Castle police charged the following:
•Mary Lewter, 43, of New Castle, three counts of intent to possess a controlled substance and one count each of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and adulterating or misbranding any controlled substance.
•Mary Niglio, 52, of New Castle, endangering the welfare of children.
•Bland Givens, 28, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.
•Jeanine Buchanan, 35, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.
•Christopher Adam Mazzocco, 28, of New Castle, receiving stolen property and theft by deception.
•Richard Neely, 49, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.
•Lisa Jones, 39, of New Castle, harassment.
•Michael L. Jenkins, 47, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar miconduct and disorderly conduct.
•Diane Marie Arnold, 33, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.
